The instruments flowed wonderfully, and overall it was one of the best pieces I've heard on the Audio Portal.
There is really little room for improvement considering how well done it was, but the only thing I could really say is that I don't really like all the pauses. A dramatic pause is good once maybe twice, but it's done a few times here and it causes it to seem longer. The major strong point is how well it comes together. Another final thing that could've been improved on is the drums. They're all fine, but going from piano to marching beat first thing was kind of abrupt IMHO.
Other than those small things, it's a solid 9/10 and I'm voting 5. Nice work.

When you came to me fishing for reviews I figured this would be entirely shitty, but I was pleasantly surprised.
It's very ominous and strange. There's not much room for things that really need to be improved, but the drum beats felt somewhat unfitting at a few points.
It remained a pretty good song from start to finish. Nice work.

Thanks for the review :D I suppose the drums could be tonned down or something, and i replaced the snare with a shaker :D and the crash with a ride. meh. :D thanks again

"Incredible exposition into a climactic ending"
I felt that the character exposition was incredibly strong in this piece. I also think that it has an incredible amount of potential and the spiral into the climax was beautiful, and that even in the short time that this took place I grew attached to both of the characters and I felt that they were incredibly powerful and moving and that I don't think I could have it any other way.
The voice acting itself was incredible. The power behind the pirates voice was apparent the entire time and I feel that only adds to the difference between the pirate himself and the customer he is serving in the incredible twist ending that finds both of their worlds turned upside down. I'm not going to get into this yet because it's an important plot point and I feel that it would be spoiling it for people who are reading this and are only at say, 21 seconds in when this occurence doesn't happen until atleast 0:40!
Needless to say this piece had almost no flaws and there is no room for improvement because it is perfect. The climax led incredibly into the conclusion that the pirate was not a pirate at all, but indeed merely a fast food employee! This incredible realisation both surprised and enthralled me as I tried to find the truth in this incredible yarn.
But perhaps the most heartfelt moment was when the customer ordered and the pirate, defeated by the mans unappeal at his incredible pirate performance, ultimately leading to the eyepatched man, defeatedly saying "that will be 6.95," to the young traveler in his quest for a number 3 with extra biscuits.
But perhaps the strongest feature of this voice acting piece is the imagery it gives. Even if it was merely audio I pictured a grisled veteran pirate warning a young, weary traveler of the terrible threats that lay ahead; namely sabre tooth demons which gave an incredible image in my head that was both scary and amazing.
And not only that, but there was the exposition of the 10,000 brave men who dropped their bowels at the creaky plank into the sabre tooth demons of the sea, creating a world of pirating and adventure in a few words that even high budget movies can't achieve. And all of this for a mere bit of treasure! Indeed the treasure must be vast and beautiful.
And did I mention the voice of the lone cadaver who is seeking this treasure? Both mellow, certain and dignified, the character goes on to order a number 3 with extra biscuits, truly defeating the depths of hell and obtaining the treasure from the man; and for the mere cost of 6.95!
All in all, this was the strongest piece I have heard in a long while, and can only be summarised efficiently in two words: lol AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

It's likeable in that it's really simplistic and short, but that also keeps it from really shining. Adding some more variation could help I suppose. But overall it is a good piece and it flows quite nicely although it is somewhat repetitive.

I love you egoraptor.
I like the whole "yarr" element at the end and it adds depth to this oscar winning audio scripting. It's hard to believe you can get this kind of characterisation withing the span of 1 minute and 21 seconds of audio, and I especially love the climactic spiral and the exposition leading to the incredible twist ending that the captain has scurvy and the first mate is pretty much a big faggot.

The starting is kind of annoying, but it leads to a pretty solid song. It was pretty original and all that. Please make more bro.
Author's Response:
Yeah there's no real intro in this song. I've gotten better at intros, but I suppose I left this one out.
That odd note in the beginning is supposed to be there, I just like it somehow.
Thanks man, I'll be sure to make more like this, even though my friends hate techno/electrowhatever I'm glad to hear opinions from someone who's more into it.

It's a nice little beat. And it is completely original sounding even if it does incorporate those elements from SMB.

A nice little zelda medley done in the style of Megaman X. It's really beautiful, although making it sound a little bit more Zelda-y would be a slight improvement.
More of this kind of music would also be nice.

It's a good piece, but more variation would be nice. Other than that it's just fine.
